BSA Helping Hands
BSA prioritizes the well-being and health of all employees, both at work and at home. BSA Helping Hands is an anonymous food assistance program that can be utilized weekly by employees living in food-insecure homes.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current team member.
- Must provide name and phone number to register.
Registration:
- Boxes are available biweekly.
- Requests need to be completed by the Sunday prior to receive a box
Pickup Instructions:
- Present a valid badge when picking up the food box.
- Boxes are located in the valet office for pickup.
Internal Employee Assistance (previously called Blessings from the Heart)
Prequalification Guidelines for Disbursement
- The applicant must be an employee of BSA Health System, employed for 90 days with no final disciplinary action.
- All information submitted and any information on the disbursement of funds will be regarded as strictly confidential.
- The situation for which assistance is being requested must be precipitated by extenuating circumstances. The result of poor personal budgeting will not be considered.
- Any confirmed deception in representing information to the committee will result in automatic denial of assistance and any future requests.
- Employees will be eligible to receive only one disbursement every 365 rolling calendar year.
Exceptions include:
- The death of an immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling).
- Catastrophic event (i.e., fire, flood, life-threatening injury/illness of the employee of an immediate family member).
- All requests for assistance will be processed within 3 business days (72 hours).
- The request for assistance has a limit of $400.00 for utilities, $200.00 for food, $800.00 for housing and a total max of $1200.00 within a rolling calendar year.
- Checks will be issued to third parties only (e.g., Xcel, Atmos, Mortgage Company). No exceptions to this rule.
Natural Disaster Relief Program
The Natural Disaster Relief program exists to provide immediate support to team members of BSA Health System and its affiliates in the aftermath of natural disasters. The Helping Hands committee strives to be a dependable resource, fostering resilience and well-being within our workforce. Team members are encouraged to notify their director if they’ve experienced a life-altering event, significant home loss, or personal property damage.
